About The PVMAC
The Pomona Valley Model Airplane Club (PVMAC) operates as a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement and enjoyment of R/C model airplane flying. The club is composed of approximately 445 members and currently enjoys two flying fields.
The club has a field in Prado Park in Chino, California, and a second field at the old Norton AFB in San Bernardino, California. The Prado field is approximately '800’ x 50’ with enough asphalt pit area to support 30 canopies. The Norton field is 490' x 50' and can support about 15 members in the pit areas at a time. Both fields are operated under the AMA (Academy of Model Aeronautics) guidelines.
Prado Park is part of the Prado Flood Control Basin and is located 5 miles northwest of Corona and 3 miles southwest of Chino. Additionally, picnic facilities are available at the site. The field is leased from the San Bernardino County Parks and Recreation Department. The PVMAC Prado field is rated as one of the best RC flying sites in Southern California. Click for directions.
Club meetings are held at the Chino Community Center in Chino, California the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 7:00pm. (See Directions on this site)
We at PVMAC look forward to a site that will be there for not only us to enjoy, but for the enjoyment of future generations. The club has a great flight training programs for youth and adults with club trainers & instructors.
