Our website address is: https://www.pvmac.com We are the Pomona Valley Model Airplane Club (PVMAC), a nonprofit radio‑controlled model aviation club based in Chino, California.
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, along with the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help with spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (a hash) may be sent to the Gravatar service to check if you use it. After your comment is approved, your profile picture (if any) becomes visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, please avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors to the website may be able to download and extract location data from images displayed on the site.

If you leave a comment, you may opt‑in to saving your name, email address, and website in cookies. These exist for your convenience so you don’t have to re‑enter your details when leaving another comment. These cookies last for one year.

Membership, Payments, and Online Forms

If you request a password reset, your IP address may be included in the reset email as part of WordPress’s standard functionality.
How long we retain your data
- Comments: If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely so we can recognize and approve follow‑up comments automatically.
- User accounts: If you create an account, we store the personal information you provide in your user profile. You may edit or delete your information at any time (except your username).
- Membership and purchase data: Retained for up to 1 year, then securely deleted.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, have left comments, or have submitted membership or purchase information, you may request an exported file of the personal data we hold about you. You may also request that we erase any personal data we hold.
This does not include data we are required to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where your data is sent
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
